The View Navion Colorado 2024 Both Sides Now Tour will be held on both sides of the Rocky Mountain National Park, our fourth most visited national park. There were 4.3 million visitors last year.
Our View Navion Colorado Both Sides Now event is the definition of a "Tour" as we caravan to different places in our Views and Navions with planned activities and personal downtimes. Our theme for all of our VNC events is "People and Places." We love to bring people together in beautiful and amazing places.
Our 2024 tour is currently full, yet, a standby list has begun. PM Dave if you want on the list. Also, check out our 2024 Meetup in May, a shorter version of our 2024 Tour.
Dates for the 2024 View Navion Colorado tour are September 23 through September 30. We will arrive on September 22. A few others have indicated they will arrive early, also.
The Spruce Lake RV Resort is on The Big Thompson River in Estes Park, east of RMNP. It has limited shopping, restaurants and a few other amenities within walking distance. If you do not have a toad, Estes Park has shuttles that have a shuttle stop just outside our campground. There will be more shopping, eating and grocery shopping in Estes Park.
Toads are recommended, and there may be several who will let you share a ride if you do not have one. Also, you can grab the shuttle that will take you into RMNP. If you do grab the shuttle into RMNP, be sure you have your Timed Entry Passes!
We have an Elk Tour and a Welcome to Rocky tours planned in a 14 passenger minibus. Both tours are now full. Each minibus has a driver so we do not have to get a Timed Entry Pass, fight the traffic and try to find parking, etc. All we do is "ooh and aah." We will have a Ranger with us on our tours who knows where to go, what to see and who can answer most of our questions. The Ranger will be our guide. RMNP has the largest Elk heards in America.
The Rocky Mountain Conservancy (RMC) conducts tours and classes in RMNP. The RMC is a non-profit organization that provides funds for the park. RMC tours and classes are a great way to see and learn about the park.
Nights will be quite cool. Dress in layers. Snow is always a possibility. We usually get together for wine and hors d' oeuvres on our first night for greetings and announcements. You do not have to bring an hors d' oeuvrese. We will plan a couple of potlucks and breakfasts. That will be listed in our events on our 2024 Tour page. Also, we can always dine out at the famous Stanley Hotel. Eating is our second most popular activity after talking! That's "People and Places."
We will work on plans for wrapping up the details for our westside RMNP events and our website. We will be traveling to the Grand Lake/Granby area as soon as we can get there, weather dependent. There will be updates to this website as we move along.
