$10.00 a night per RV in a dry camping group campsite with water and dumping available. There is an adult only hot springs called The Greenhouse with a lot of greenery and multiple pools. Please pay Dave $10.00 for your campsite reservation when you see him on tour.
Events: Bent's Old Fort - Tour a National Historic Site (U.S. National Park Service) in the plains of Colorado. It was a gathering place on the Santa Fe Trail for the Indians and mountain men.
Caravan after the Bent's Old Fort tour from the plains into the San Luis Valley with spectacular views of several mountain ranges. Our destination is to the Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Events: Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad Train Ride - Train reservations (877-286-2737) are paid. Your ticket will be ready for pickup.
Be at the train station by 8:00 am sharp to pick up your tickets. We will travel by bus to Antonito, CO to catch the steam locomotive on a different route back to Chama. We should arrive back around 4:40 pm. Lunch will be provided, and snacks will be available for purchase. If you want to ride in the open air car, you are required to wear goggles or safety glasses; otherwise, we will be in an unheated enclosed car. Dress in layers no matter what the forecast is. No open toes on the train. It can be 70 degrees to 30 degrees. Bring a lot of water to deter altitude sickness. A docent will walk through the train cars. Feel free to ask questions.

The headwaters of the Rio Grande are a short distance northwest of Creede on the route over Slumgullion Pass, another beautiful drive. The drive to Slumgullion Pass is one hour.
